Ch Deelayne's Obsession for Exephials - Calvin arrived in our home in August of 1996; I had been interested in having a Deelayne lhasa since one of my original pet Lhasa’s (Maddie) had several Deelayne’s behind her.
This was further confirmed when I fell in love at first sight with the soon to be Ch, Deelayne Fanya and later saw Ch Deelayne Peaches O’Day who won Best of Breed at Crufts in March that year.
Calvin did very well as a youngster up against stiff competition, mainly in the form of Ch Saxonsprings Tradition who was exactly the same age, regularly finishing runner up to him, although we did get past him the odd time too!
Obsession was a dream to campaign, a reliable showman, who never let me down and had a real presence in the ring.
Used first at stud at the age of 11 months, Calvin soon established he was to be an influential sire, producing initially Hazgaye Shades of Saffron, a repeat mating of which would produce Ch Hazgaye Red Alert, 3 time Top Lhasa,
Calvin also sired top winners, Rishlyn Entrapment, my own group winning Ch Exephials Tears ‘n a Sad Story, Ch Deelayne Madness Divine at Nickanda JW, Ch Deelayne Beyond the Pale for Shanclar who was a Crufts CC winner, and another overall top lhasa Ch Deelayne Indulgence, who was a 3rd Calvin offspring to win a Championship Show Group.
He also has a Spanish Ch daughter, Ch Deelayne Shiawandi Iwanna
His grandchildren are proving to be equally influential with Ch Now and Forever Deelayne, earning Top Stud Dog 2005
Calvin became a Champion in 2000 having won CC’s under Alan Brown, Geoff Corish & Jim Outterside, all with Best of Breed, two of those with Group 3’s.
He also won a 4th CC as a Veteran under Pat Wright, and 4 Reserve CC's
Calvin was Top Stud Dog 2003 and his name can be found in many of todays top winning dogs' pedigrees

Ch Exephials Tears 'n a Sad Story - Robyn comes from the 2nd litter I bred,
A daughter of Calvin and Marbledale Masken Kostium on Exephials - Kirby, who I think of as my foundation bitch.
Not heavily campaigned as a puppy she did win several Ch Show 1sts and was Best Puppy Bitch at Blackpool Ch Show.
A very mature youngster, she astonished me by winning her first CC at 15 months old under Michael Gilchrist and won 1st at Crufts that year too.
I then had several fruitless attempts to have puppies from her, which hampered her show career, but after producing a litter at 4 and a half she then went on to gain her title in 2003, with CC's from Sally Pointon and Jane Lilley, she also won the Utility Group under Ferelith Somerfield that year, my proudest achievement to date.
Robyn also won 3 Reserve CC's and her daughter Exephials Cordelia Chase was a Ch Show Best Puppy in Breed winner.
To date Robyn is my only homebred champion and it is her picture that is used on the home page, that picture taken at 10 months old, best captures her free spirit and personality.

Deelayne Ylang Ylang to Exephials - Tatum is by Deelayne Ivor Filou and out of Ch Deelayne Keeping the Faith, and is a grand-daughter
of Ch & Ir Ch Saxonsprings Tradition & a Great Grand-daughter of Obsession.
She arrived at 10 months old in 2001, my second dog from Madaleine Lewis
Tatum was only really campaigned regularly in 2006, she has managed to win Ch Show 1sts in her career and also gained her Stud Book Number.
She has had two litters to Obsession and from the second I kept Exephials The Love Spell who was campaigned for a couple of years
before retiring to a pet home in the Settle countryside
More recently Tatum had a litter to Nickanda Divine Comedy by Exephials, Ruby's Sire and this produced Selma - Secret Squirrel
Tatum is now almost 10 and enjoying her retirement!

Exephials Iced Tea - Born in 2002 - Lila is a full sister to Ch Exephials Tears 'n a Sad Story, from a later mating.
Lila was the only surviving pup in her litter and a real character, she was initially sold as a pet, but when her owner decided to relocate
she came back to stay and very fortunately so as Robyn was unable to have a 2nd litter, and Lila's return enabled me to carry on with those lines.
Quite different in balance to her older sister, she does have a similarly beautiful head, straight front & feminine bone, however her bite wasn't right for show.
Her first litter to Deelayne Fiddle de Dee produced two very typey black puppies, she was then mated to Nickanda Divine Comedy by Exephials,
this produced the beautiful Ruby, then finally in a move to take advantage of new bloodlines she was mated to Ch/Aus Ch Amesen Come Fly With Me to Ballito,
which produced the double act of B&Q - Brodie and Queenie! Line wise I find it hard to conceive where I would be without Lila's input!

Exephials Smoken Mirrors - Ruby is my beautiful red head, a daughter of Lila & Nickanda Divine Comedy by Exephials.
She has lovely construction and a gorgeous head, she also has an immense coat, which slightly hampers her willingness to be a show girl!
but it is hard to ignore her beauty and presence, she has a sweet, soft nature combined with a touch of mischief
Currently enjoying some time out of the ring, she will hopefully have a litter at some point this year.

Exephials Secret Squirrel - Selma like Lila was the only surviving puppy in her litter and in much the same way was partially hand reared.
She was only lightly campaigned but is soundly constructed and is very breed typical, and possibly she may show again one day
I chose to have a litter from her early on in order to prove Brodie at stud. This mating which was the first time, I have been in a position
to put a dog of my breeding to a bitch of my breeding, produced 4 quality puppies of which hopefully at least one will be shown.

Exephials Smoking Gun - Brodie comes from Lila's 3rd & final litter, a very exciting young boy, by Ch/Aus Ch Amesen Come Fly With Me to Ballito.
He has taken on many of Simon's attributes and is also very reminiscent of Marbledale Masken Kostium on Exephials, his grandmother.
He has done exceptionally well so far, winning many Championship Show 1sts and a Ch Best Puppy in Breed.
He has sired two litters and hopefully representatives of both litters will be in the ring in late summer 2010.

Exephials Smile in the Dark - Queenie is Brodie's litter sister, and although I hadn't intended to keep two from the litter, she was too lovely to let go.
Doing equally well as her brother, gaining similar wins and a Ch Best Puppy in Breed,
she was also Best Puppy in Show at the Midland Lhasa Apso Association Open Show in Oct 09.
I am very proud of these two lovely youngsters.
